This means that more than two fifths of the large businesses have beefed up their budgets on virtualisation compared to any other area of IT spending.
Meanwhile, in mid-range or medium sized businesses, the budget for virtualisation among technology players even increased by almost 50 percent. Forty nine percent to be exact. This means that entrepreneurs are fast embracing virtualisation and that they understand what virtualisation can mean to their businesses.Apart from virtualisation, business owners of both medium and large enterprises also reportedly invest in storage area networks and servers. At least one in every three firms reportedly invest in storage area networks while 39 percent of each size category set budgets for servers. The report said that virtualisation brings at least six benefits - five are operational-related while one is money-related. The report said that they got figures from the Aberdeen Group to back up their story.
