Host in 1924 to sporting history and only improving since then, Chamonix is a beautiful place offering casual sightseeing and energetic ski runs, all easily accessible from a home away from home in the shape of the chalets around the resort. First, however, a short general introduction could be advisable. Near Mont Blanc lies Chamonix, a cosy resort commune made up of some sixteen villages which is the excellent center for any mountain holiday. At the airport in Geneva, transfer into the resort from where you can readily plan the rest of your holiday in a part of the world which draws sightseers and skiers aplenty at all times — and they have good reason.
Useful venues for all forms of extreme sports are close to the resort, providing the eager extreme sports aficionado with a choice — wider than the majority of resorts offer — and all Olympic quality. Skiers and hikers may opt for the less high-octane runs with striking views around the resort, all reached by hikingon foot or by cable car. All skill levels will find something to suit here, as we can offer trails and slopes that can be experienced by beginners and casual skiers as well as the trickier runs.
While choosing somewhere to stay for a family skiing holiday, catered chalets are the smart move. Such chalets will leave you feeling at home in the Alps with no need to forgo luxury while your family enjoy winter sports. Entirely furnished in the finest style with a full assortment of essential equipment and cosy nooks, the resort’s catered chalets provide for anybody from a single guest to two all the way on to families. Highland holidays can create a romantic setting or an energetic time for friends and family, and you’ll find no better place for one to start from. Summertime or winter, there’s still all manner of things to do over your stay in the mountains, to number just a few: extreme sports, skiing, or rock climbing. Setting aside the activities listed above there’s still much to occupy your time; souvenirs to buy, sights to see, and historical landmarks. Coming via transfer from Geneva airport this is a short flight to make and once you’re there it’ll be entirely simple to put together just the right combination of accomodation and sports, which makes enjoying a truly special respite a cinch.

Hayling Island is to be noticed on the stunning southern coast of England on the agricultural shores between the well known cities of Chichester and Portsmouth.
Hayling Island is a prime location for clean beaches and holds two blue flags and Tidy Britain seaside accolades; it is the premiere position for some of the optimal sailing and windsurfing in the UK.
Hayling Island is a traditional coastal resort that has suffered as a result of the decline of the traditional seaside holiday.
Salt production was an industry on the island from the 11th century (the Domesday Book recorded a saltpan on the island for this purpose) until the late 19th century. At the northwest corner of the island lies the Hayling Oysterbeds Local Nature Reserve.
Hayling Island is easily accessible from most areas and just an hour and 15min from London.
The Island is also said to be one of the optimal Wind Surfing areas on the South Coast.
Hayling Island is the perfect position to enjoy a first class beach.
Destination Hayling Island will see the refurbishment of the whole seafront, focused on the creation of a new landmark conceptual “modern pier” building, which will be the centerpiece of a re-invigorated seafront.
If you could make the decision to take a holiday and come to Hayling island then a stupendous place to halt would be Cockle Warren Cottage Hotel - it is pretty much on the beach and you will be enwrapped in the beguile of the cottage with the warm sea snap rapping on your chamber window.

The OECD has anticipated that Europes top 660 snowboarding areas may be abridged to 400 by 2049. Luigina Ricci stated that the ski holidays industry will suffer earlier than that date, not from a want of snow just due to a general shrinkage in buying power linked to the rising cost of crude oil.
And what about climate change? Climatologists have shown that a twofold increase of carbon dioxide levels shall increase ground temps by 3 to 7 degrees.
However there are still some open doubts.
The acceleration of warming and the consequence on the mountains climate.
A couple Celsius heating last century has not been seen over the last 1000000 years.
During the end of the glacial epoch 21000 yrs ago the warming of three Celsius was over of 7 to 10 thousand years.
Prior to that Montroc and Courchevel were beneath glaciers and Serre Chevalier would have been the same as Antarctica.
Therefore what does the future hold for mid mountain snowboarding domains domains? Oil problems will begin to be felt by 2014 to 20, leading to increased costs for a catered chalet, airport taxi operators and skiing lift businesses alike.
Presently the amount is 5 percent of gross domestic product. If the cost of oil grows as predicted it’ll constitute 42 % of GDP, one can envisage the economic downturn.
Europeans will witness the price of agrarian commodities going up, flora species will shift following a adjustment in rainfall patterns.
Its hydro-power will be a worthwhile resource however it is not certain that it will be a boon because there will be less precipitation, additional water in the winters and less in the summer.

Chamonix Mont Blanc France is infamous for its snowboarding however, unlike several other skiing areas, its snowboarding fields are not interconnected.
In fact Chamonix has five different skiing areas - Les Montets, the wooded area of Les Houches, south facing Brevent, the fantastic Le Flegere and Le Domain du Balme - only Brevent and Flegere are interlinked, this demands catching a shuttle bus or driving to and from the five different areas.
Hence finding your way around Chamonix’s areas can prove hard, and a understanding of the different ski areas definitely helps.
If you are unused to skiing holidays then getting ski lessons from a skiing school would not be a bad start, and they can also notify you which Chamonix lift pass to buy.
Obviously a ski map will be useful, and these can be collected for free either from the tourist office or at any of the ski stations.
You’ll then need to go to a ski hire store to hire your snowboarding equipment, and there is a wide range of shops in town to choose from there shouldn’t be much trouble whatsoever.
After that it’s necessary to find out the Chamonix weather, skiing report or a webcam of the ski area you wish to ski, as Chamonix Mont Blanc is a elevated skiing area so the conditions can change quickly.
Whether you are heading to Chamonix Mont Blanc for your French ski holidays or a ski weekend you will find that there is lots to keep you engaged.

I’m happy I spent my honeymoon in Glasgow, Scotland. After this romantic experience, I have to say that it is one of the best European honeymoon destinations ever. You don’t need to be on your honeymoon, bringing your spouse, or partner on a romantic vacation to Glasgow Scotland , you need look no further than Inverlochy castle.
You don’t want to be staying here if you were looking for a common honeymoon destination that’s for sure, but having said that, if you get the opportunity to stay at Inverlochy Castle, then get it.
If you have money, then select the King’s Suite and I’m positive you’ll get your money’s value. It is beautiful and traditional, yet it has popular amenities such as plasma television and internet access that can rival any other. The bath is also huge, and the towels beautifully soft, and the walk in shower, which is something we both love.
We didn’t go there for the room, but all the other touches from a hotel like this. It is one of the most beautifully repaired Scottish castles, and arriving in the rain, an umbrella appeared, our luggage disappeared, and our car was parked. Then walking into chocolates and champagne in our suite was another nice touch
The entire stay in Glasgow was fantastic as we were spoiled throughout our stay. The scenery was splendid as we can see Ben Nevis in one window and Loch from the other. Lastly, the food was delightful.
It is fair to say that you need to be fond of a bit of hill walking, picture taking, just basking the scenery, because there isn’t a great deal amusement around the region, but then we were on our honeymoon!!!
What we liked themost was how we were cared for by the hotel staff. They were completely respectful to our privacy.
Not only is Inverlochy Castle one of the very top luxury hotels in Glasgow Scotland, it has to be one of the very best European honeymoon destinations

One of Europe’s most celebrated snowboarding towns, Val d’Isre vaunts 441 kilometers of ski pistes. The ski season starts during early November and closes in May. Val d’Isere caters everything for you. The village stretches down the valley from La Daille until Le Fornet with the buzzing centre in Val Village. This clustering of appealing homes incorporate dapper shops most of which have appeared since the town was voted for the Winter Olympics.
Split into 3 different areas the town has many pistes for all skiers. With a good historical snow record, the village is hugely popular among pro skiers and boarders and motorway skiing intermediates, on the other hand you do not need to be especially experienced to relish what is there. It is easy to how come numerous British are attracted to the town, with its exciting night-life and the variety of amusement on offer, but the close proximity of Tignes permits you to venture out to less busy areas if it all gets all too much.
Pros
Alongside Chamonix it has the best nightlife in France. Everyone talks English. Easy entrance to Val d’Isre and Tignes known collectively as the the Espace Killy skiing area. It has a lot of traffic and though there are many buses during the day, committed apres skiers ought aim to be within a short distance of the town centre.
Cons
Costly. Hectic and popular with English clientle, thus not for those looking for a classic French ski town to savour a stress free ski holiday. A lot of skiing lifts can shut in inclement conditions. A few difficult blue and green runs.

Located in Southeastern Europe, Albania is a country off of the beaten travel road. Of course, this makes Albania a great place to visit.
Albania - History
Albania is a Mediterranean country sitting on the coast of the Adriatic and Ionian seas. The country is bordered to the north by Serbia and Montenegro, Greece to the south and Macedonia to the east. Involved in the massive strife arising in the former Yugoslavia, the country was previously a Soviet-Bloc country. These days, Albania is a democracy fighting to find its economic feet.
Tirana
Tirana is the capital of Albania and has a population of a little over 300,000. The city is an eclectic mix of traditional European structures, soviet style five story buildings and mid-east influenced architecture. Relatively small, Tirana is a city with a small town feel.
Korca - Rugs, Rugs, Rugs
Korca is a city located in the east of Albania close to the border of Greece. Built high up on a plateau, Korca is a must see if you love Turkish style rugs and carpets. The entire city seems to be devoted to the manufacture and sale of every size, color and type of rug. If you’re staying overnight, Hotel Iliria is your best option.
Petrela Castle
Dating back to 500 AD, Petrela Castle is an ancient structure, which is in relatively good shape considering the history attached to it. At one time or another, Petrela was the primary defense of the city of Durres. It has been held, used and conquered by Romans, Greeks, Turks and other. Seriously off the beaten path, getting to Petrela requires a sturdy Jeep or Landcruiser. It is a very bumpy road, but the view is more than worth it.
While Albania is struggling to recovery from a communist pass, it is a fairly safe place to visit. The people are nice and it is definitely an opportunity to visit a country off the beaten path.

Keystone offers the finest night skiing in Colorado with lights on 15 different slopes and a great terrain park. Night skiing starts at 4pm and ends at 10pm.
All of the night skiing at Keystone is on the front face of the mountain featuring great runs like the spring dipper. The Keystone Gondola will service most of the night skiing.
The spring dipper is a great long fast groomer with great high speed turns which makes the spring dipper a night skiing favorite. The frenchman is a great groomer which you can carve the most perfect turns, with ease and the big rollers will allow you to take flight if you want this. Always remember to give the right away to slower skiers and always ride in complete control. Your life and others are all always at risk when alpine skiing, so please be careful.
The Keystone terrain park offers many different types of rails, boxes and jumps. Some of the ski jumps are huge, so be careful and be sure to go big! If you fall short of the downhill, you’ll regret it. You can spend hours of time jumping and riding the rails in the Keystone terrain park, but please don’t forget about the rest of the mountain, I promise there are other super fun ski runs for you to enjoy.
